First sample of my book:
The sun had fallen behind the mountains below the now charcoal sky of Emsdale.
Little drops splattered on the cobblestone path home, as if the angels have started weeping. Emma evenly stood with her foot together before her brother's grave. Slowly, she started to recollect the memories she had with him. No one would defend me now, she thought. All her life, since their parents passed away, her brother had always looked after her. It didn't matter to him if he had to stop going to school, as long as he would soon see Emma graduate and get the highest honors, it was alright with him. Every sister would always say that their brother is the best brother anyone could have. But hers was as genuine as a heart of an angel.
She felt the downpour on her shoulder. And because she didn't have enough money from her job, she hadn't bought anything to protect her from the drizzle. "I should go," she whispered. "Goodbye, Eryk."
